After this ruling vacating the District Court's summary judgment in favor of CBS and remanded the case for trial, both parties reached a settlement agreement.
The estate of Martin Luther King, Jr has established the King Center to carry on his legacy. The center holds the copyrights to most of Dr. King's speeches. Many of the materials licensed by the estate (including the speeches) can be found at Stanford University's Martin Luther King, Jr. Institute website.
