After this ruling vacating the District Court's summary judgment in favor of CBS and remanded the case for trial, both parties reached a settlement agreement.

The estate of Martin Luther King, Jr has established the King Center to carry on his legacy. The center holds the copyrights to most of Dr. King's speeches.
