In 2011 Learning Curve was acquired by TOMY along with its parent company RC2. At that time Learning Curve stopped making the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway, which was sold to Fisher Price. TOMY now makes Chuggington wooden trains, which use the same concept of trains with faces that travel on wooden tracks. The Chuggington trains are mostly inter-operable with the Thomas train sets.
On remand, the district court denied LCI's motion for summary judgement (744 F.Supp.2d 768), and then the parties appear to have settled as there is no further history.
