Jefri Aalmuhammed's was hired to ensure the accuracy of scenes depicting Malcolm X's trip to Mecca in 1964. He coached Denzel Washington on the intricacies of the hajj, which is a series of rituals in-and-around Mecca that must be performed at least once in a lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim.
