Saul Steinberg was a Romanian-born artist who immigrated to the United States in 1940. He is considered one of the masters of the cartoon-illustration form.

Robin Williams was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in this movie (along with Eddie Murphy for Beverly HIlls Cop and Bill Murray forGhostbusters). He lost, however, to Dudley Moore's performance in Micki & Maude.
